Meet Dr. Barberi
Dr. Barberi began her career in dentistry as a registered dental hygienist in 1996, dedicating twelve years to the profession. She has a strong passion for preventive care and educating patients on preventing dental disease. Throughout her career as a hygienist, she was an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Society and served on the Council of Dental Hygiene for the Florida Board of Dentistry. Dr. Barberi loved working as an adjunct clinical professor for the Pensacola State College Dental Hygiene program. She found great joy and fulfillment in teaching and mentoring future dental hygienists, sharing her passion for preventive care and dental health education.
Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Dr. Barberi completed her undergraduate studies at the University of West Florida before earning her Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Florida. She worked as a general dentist in various practices and public health settings before opening her practice in Daphne, Alabama, in 2018. Dr. Barberi is a long-standing member of the American Dental Association and has received advanced training in Laser-Assisted Dentistry and Invisalign therapy. She is dedicated to advanced training and attends multidisciplinary dental study clubs. Dr. Barberi continues to find ways to mentor students and sponsors several students every year to intern in her practice.
In July 2023, she moved her practice into a new custom-designed space equipped with the latest technology. Dr. Barberi focuses on comprehensive dental care and continues to help her patients find preventive techniques and therapies to reduce their future dental needs. Dr. Barberi strives to find ways to give back to her community and is actively involved in volunteer work. She is currently serving as a board member with Dedicated Dentist, an active Rotarian in the Daphne/Spanish Fort Rotary Club, and a volunteer with 3 Circle’s Hope Center in Fairhope. She is also a member of 3 Circle Church.
Dr. Barberi resides in Fairhope, Alabama, with her husband, Richard Cordero. They have three grown daughters, four grandchildren, five dogs, and two cats. She is currently learning Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) and enjoys traveling in her spare time.
